Rendezvous on the French Riviera

It would be beyond nice to meet you, dear readers, in Nice, on the French Riviera, two weeks from today. If you’ll be in the neighborhood of the terrific new English language bookshop, Librairie Masséna Around the World, on Saturday, 24 May, between 5 PM to 7 PM, please stop by. I’ll be there between 5 PM and 7 PM for a book signing of my first book, Passion for Provence: 22 Keys to La Belle Vie.

This charming bookshop is the sister store to one of France’s premier independent bookstores, Librairie Masséna. The new branch opened just over a year ago, in June 2024, in response to strong demand for English-language books.

Last fall, while Ralph and I were visiting a friend in Nice, we popped by the attractive, well-stocked store. Happily, when we turned up, delightful manager Amy Trowell was on duty. We enjoyed a lively chat and talked all things books—mais oui, including a couple that are very close to my heart😊

Earlier this year, when Amy wrote to tell me how much she “loved” Passion for Provence, you can imagine how thrilled I was. And to be invited to do a book signing was music to my ears.

Next month I’ll let you know all about it, including meeting (in person) Amy’s congenial co-manager, Amandine Salagnac. Can’t wait! S’il vous plait, wish me bonne chance!
